We had a family gathering and the house provided ample room and a beautiful setting. It was easy to make group meals and have space to spread out. We enjoyed the fire pit tremendously and had a fabulous weekend. The location between Stowe and Morrisville fit our needs but… There were only bath towels for six people, not the eight registered, no dish towels, called the property manager who promised to bring them the next day and they never showed up. The hot tub is over chlorinated and sitting on a pallet of mud so entry and exit is difficult and messy. Three of the eight plastic chairs by the fire pit were broken. Most of the bedrooms are on the basement floor which only has one bathroom to service a king and four bunk beds which was problematic. The dishwasher was poorly installed so it tips when used and ice maker worked sporadically. This was an expensive rental but many elements felt cheap or poorly maintained. When I went to return the keys and speak with the property agent about the issues, she told me she was very busy and blew off my comments. To be honest it would be a better review with better customer service. If you are going for a high dollar rental expectations are raised and in this case we’re not met.

Lazy Bear Lodge is located in a secluded location, but still easy to get to. The home appears relatively new, and is well-maintained and clean. The furnishings are high-quality, and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. There were a couple of minor issues during our stay, but the property management company did a great job addressing them in a timely fashion. Really the only negative was how quickly the hot water runs out...and with no warning. Staggered showers will be required, as more than two showers simultaneously would quickly exhaust the hot water available. Thanks to the owner and property management company for their hospitality. We really enjoyed our first visit to the area, and a large reason for that was the first-class accommodations we experienced at Lazy Bear Lodge.

Well equipped, very comfortable for our family of six plus two additional guests for a couple of nights while we were there. Beautiful property, good location, 20 minutes to the mountain and 10 minutes to restaurants in town. Would stay again.

We stayed at Lazy Bear for 5 nights. Two families, 4 kids altogether. The downstairs living room/bunk room/bathroom was awesome for the kids to have their separate space away from the adults. They loved the heated floor. The hot tub was great after skiing all day. The view was beautiful. There is a small hill out back that the kids had fun sledding down. Would have liked more info on the pond, like how deep, for the kids safety. The main floor of the house has a great kitchen with island for kids to eat at and a dining room. The fireplace was super cozy and easy to use. The house was emaculate and the furniture was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

My daughter was graduating college and there were 8 of us that wanted to go up to VT for her graduation. I started looking for vacation rentals since we wanted to stay for a long weekend. This was perfect for us. It was close to everything but yet set off a private road with nice views of the mountains. The house was rescently built and beautifully furnished with a rustic decor. There were a total of 4 bedrooms, 3 with king beds and one with 2 sets of bunk beds. The master suite on the upper level had a hudge walk-in shower. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen, dinning, and living room with big stone fireplace. The lower level had a TV room with a sliding door that opened up to the hot tub. Shaw's grocery store was a few minutes away so we could get everything that we needed. The house was perfect!

We recently stayed at this beautiful cabin. It's wonderfully decorated and the view of the mountain range is astonishing. We spent our mornings relaxing on the beautiful deck area which overlooks the mountains. The area shops at Stowe (5-10 minutes away) are just as beautiful. Many nice places to eat, visit, shops, stores and things do to kept us busy the entire time we were there. Amazing how secluded we felt in our cabin, you wouldn't think Stowe would be a stone's throw away! It was just wonderful in every respect and the renters were simply amazing to deal with. Wonderful people! There was enough room and privacy for our entire family to enjoy! We highly suggest!

We absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful cabin. The house and the grounds are beautiful with a wonderful view of the mountains. The kids loved skipping rocks in the private pond and we enjoyed watching them from the deck with beautiful views of the mountains as the backdrop! We loved that it felt so secluded and private, yet Stowe Village's restaurants and shopping are just five minutes away! The house is gorgeous with wonderfully comfortable furniture. The king size beds were extremely comfortable - hands down the best mattresses we've slept on at any resort or cabin. The kids loved the bunk beds, which were also comfy and cozy! There was also no arguing over the television as the adults watched upstairs from the comfortable leather couches and the kids had their own area downstairs with their own couches and TV! The rental process was extremely easy and we will be returning there. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin.

Stayed here twice through the 2012-2013 winter. The house is beautiful and pretty convenient to Stowe (20 minute drive; shorter if you forgot your boots and had to speed home). The only complaint I had was that the rooms are somewhat awkwardly placed. One by the kitchen and one by the hot tub. As you can imagine, these are high-traffic areas and it can get a little noisy. Bought a few ear plugs, which solved the problem. Oo. Actually, you also need a house handbook. Couldn't figure out how to do some basic stuff, like where the trash goes, how to fill the hot tub, etc. Stowe Country Homes is awesome, btw. Use them every year.
