The very comfortable queen sized bed (wool pillow top mattress and 4 pillows) provides a great night's rest from creative pursuits. An antique dresser and reclining wing backed chair complete the bedroom. Be prepared for your best night's sleep ever. Two guests maximum. Not suitable for children. No pets. Fully outfitted with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes/eating utensils, pots, pans, basic spices, 'starter' coffee, hot cocoa & teas. All you will need are the steaks for the grill. This sweet cabin sits with more than an acre of mown meadow to the south, a large forested sinkhole to the east and a hay field to the west. The front sitting porch has two Adirondack chairs for you to watch the first rays of the dawn or the setting sun. The small side deck has a gas BBQ grill and just down the the stairs you will find a picnic table with umbrella. You will find everything you need for a relaxing vacation. A short walk up to the farm's highest hilltop will take you to the modern day labyrinth & a stunning 360 degree view of both mountain ranges. Across the entry road is the 7 mile Chessie Trail with much walking along the Maury River & rock cliffs. Only 4 miles from historic downtown Lexington and its universities, shopping, excellent dining, and art galleries; close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia Horse Center and an Appalachian Trail head.More

Comfy rustic cabin, but with some of the comforts of home, like air conditioning. The living room was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped. The front porch was nice for an evening sitting.

About the neighbourhood
Our 250 acre farm does not sit in the heart of downtown Lexington! The address you see listed is our business office in our Lexington home. We respect your privacy & safety therefore we do not give the exact address to your cabin until you pick up your information packet with driving instructions to the farm & your cabin. Follow it exactly & you will be putting your feet up in approximately 10 minutes :) We are located on 250 acres of rolling farmland with gorgeous mountain views and many hikes and walks. The area is amazingly beautiful. From certain places on the farm both mountain ranges are visible, in some cases 360 degree views of both ranges are seen. There are lovely walks on the farm in addition to the 7 mile Chessie Trail just across the road. This trail runs along the Maury rive...
