Really enjoyed staying at The Squirrels Nest! Would consider staying there again in the future

It's a nice small mountain cabin that needs some TLC. One of the big selling points was the hot tub but it wasn't communicated that it was not working correctly. It was a pet friendly property and that's great! Loved out stay being close to wineries and attractions, it just needs so care it's starting to look run down... The internet pictures are older and not accurate to what is on property.

We loved our stay! So cute! Very quaint and quiet. It could use a little TLC. But overall perfect and just what we were looking for!

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Squirrel's Nest. It is the perfect size for 2 people. The place has a lot of nice character The kitchen is equipped with just about everything you would need but there are only 3 forks so that required frequent washing. The hot tub was the highlight for sure. It was easy to find and in a great location. There is hiking trail only about 10 minutes away. There are multiple wineries in the area with Early Mountain only 15 minutes away with great food. It is also close to one of the few spots you can enter/ exit Skyline Drive. Would definitely recommend the house and would go back. :)

We spent a great weekend here with my husband. The cabin is nicely designed, the place is romantic and we really liked the view on the woods. The kitchen is well equipped, the hot tub is great and our dog enjoyed the place as well. Suggestions for the owner: you might want to add more forks and a kettle.

We had the pleasure of staying after snow had fallen. It was a beautiful sight! And the hot tub was amazing during the cold night! We will definitely be staying again

The squirrel's nest was the perfect cabin for a weekend away with my boyfriend! The place was clean, surrounded by trees and farm land and had pretty much everything we needed. We drove 25 minutes to hike a trail in the Shenandoah, went to a winery, and watched some of the DVDs. The hot tub was nice in the evenings, but most of the jets didn't work, which was a bummer. The only odd things were: when we got there all of the doors were open (not just unlocked), so there were a lot of bugs inside and the sheets were too small for the mattress so they kept slipping off during the night. Overall, we wished we could've stayed another night!

We had a lovely stay. This is a great place to get out into nature and enjoy some peace and quiet away from the city. The property manager was also quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, highly recommend.
