We had a wonderful long weekend away at Bear Bluff. The house had something for everyone. My mom enjoyed reading on the screened in porch and my kids loved canoeing on the river. The area is simply amazing, we hiked and saw some beautiful waterfalls and drove along Skyline Drive. On the last night we ended our stay with gathered around the fire pit! It was really a wonderful experience.

Our 4th time staying at Bear Bluff, and we love it. So very peaceful, and our dogs have a blast! The hot tub and river access make for great a weekend away. We were not expecting the house updates. WOW! Fully renovated basement, perfect for a family trip. Excellent service, good communications...highly recommend.

Overall our stay was fun and relaxing. We would rent again and recommend to our family/friends. Pros: - Lots of amenities - canoes, ping pong, pool table, firepit, washer/dryer - everything advertised worked and was in good condition. - Comfortable beds and furniture. - Excellent location with easy access to river. - Nice shopping/dining nearby. - Great hiking nearby. - Jacuzzi on deck !!!!! Cons: - Management wasn't quick to respond to our texts and emails (sometimes 24 hours!), but did eventually respond positively. - WiFi works, but is less than 10 Mbps download and less than 1 Mbps upload, which had difficulty streaming but still worked fine otherwise. Needs upgrade.

It's a cute cabin with everything you need to unwind. I like to getaway from all the "extra" during the holidays, and Bear Bluff did not disappoint. I most enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub under the bright stars in the evening and letting my pup run free around the yard. It's close to everything, so very convenient if you're looking for adventure (hiking, kayaking, etc) We'll definitely be back!

This home is great! We had a wonderful weekend getaway in this nice and secluded home with lots of property for the kids to play on. When the weather didn't cooperate we had lots of fun with the pool table, foosball, ping pong and darts! They had a huge firepit, water access, and canoes to use. We would highly recommend anyone looking to getaway to Shenandoah to book this home. It's close to everything you would want to do too!

This is our second time staying at this cabin and the renovations are really nice. The basement is now fully finished with a full bathroom, play area for young kids, bunks, and a TV. Upstairs are two bedrooms with queen sized beds, another full bathroom, a den, and a decent sized kitchen with a small dining table. The screened-in porch is great for eating outside without worry about flies/mosquitoes. The hot tub on the other side of the house is a very nice way to relax - especially at night when you can see so many stars! The picnic area, grill, and hammocks are nice as well. Of course, the highlight of the cabin is the private river access. We like this cabin in particular b/c their access has a shaded shoal that is great for our 6 year old to safely play by the water for hours. But you can also use one of the many floats in the cabin's shed to relax in deeper waters, go canoeing, or fish. This is a great pandemic option because there is contactless key transfer and you can easily spend your entire vacation just at the property without encountering other people and never get bored.

Stayed at Bear Bluffs for a fall getaway and used this cabin as our base when touring the Shenandoah Park. Grateful for the hot tub after a long day of hiking !! The space was cozy and fantastic for our family. Loved the bear decor throughout the house and the cabin was packed with all the essentials. Loved working work Shenandoah Rentals and will be sure to rent from them again.

We came down from Pittsburgh to VA for our Honeymoon. My husband and I visit the Shenandoah area several times a year. This was our first time staying in Rileyville. It did not disappoint! SUV or truck strongly recommended to handle these gravel, mountainous roads. The cabin sits down from a main road. Speed limit enforced as you will pass a residential area. As you approach this beautiful cabin looks can be deceiving from the road. This place is a lot bigger than it looks! There is a circular driveway to easily pull back out onto the road. The deck off front entrance has a grill, hot tub and plenty of room to sit. Cabin has coded lock with key, so you don’t have to worry about how you will be able to access your rental. Huge ceilings, WiFi and cable TV. Cabin is furnished with leather couches in living area. If you are bringing a dog, you might want to bring extra blankets to protect couches. 2 bedrooms. Only used one, but the bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow! So comfy! Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook. Just bring food and drinks! There is screened porch off kitchen with seating to enjoy the view of the mountains and huge yard. Saw many frolicking deer in the morning. Basement has entertainment. There is a football, ping pong and pool table. Backyard goes down to river. No view from cabin, but there are 2 fire pits on property. One closer to the cabin and the other is at riverfront. There is a wagon in the back of the cabin to easily haul your wood. Did not get to use boats, but they are kept down by river. Yard can get very wet. Bring your boots! All the information you need is in a well detailed binder inside the cabin. If you need to venture out to the store, you are a 20 minute drive to Luray Walmart, Food Lion and fast food places. If you want to hike close to cabin check out Guest/ Shenandoah River State Park. It is right off main road of cabin heading towards the town of Front Royal. Entrance fee applies, leashed dogs allowed and wooded trails with great views.

We had a great experience at this cabin! We enjoyed the hot tub, the yard, and went biking in nearby Bentonville. The cabin is perfect for small families and the kids loved being close to the river. We fished from the bank, but didn't catch anything. We also took one of the canoes out and it was lovely. High recommend this place!

We had such a relaxing time at Bear Bluff. From the hot tub to sitting in the river, everything was just what we needed for a getaway. Pingpong is my favorite game to play and the full game room also had pool and fooze ball. We highly recommend it!
