Sarah was pleasant to work with and we thank her for allowing us to check out late.
The villa is very nice and spacious. 3 en-suite bedrooms, large kitchen, nice living room, a great pool, and beautiful sea and mountain views. The villa is located at the top of a hill, which provides for both views and privacy (it's a 6 minute drive through narrow streets from the highway, as you get to Pissouri). Note that you'll need a car. Ample storage space and linens and bath towels are provided (but not beach towels).
Sadly, the issues we had managed to cloud our experience - hence the 3.5-star review (which we very rarely give).
Upon checking in we discovered that there was no water running in the entire villa! Our numerous attempts to contact the local manager were unsuccessful (which defeats the whole idea of having a local rep, who knew we were checking in and did't bother to respond). Luckily, the owner responded about an hour later and guided us on how to locate a switch box outside and turn back the water on. A great start to our stay. Sadly, the same issue happened a few more times, though at least we were used to the switch box drill. Thankfully, the owner had a new water pump installed and the water issue was finally resolved. Oh, and apparently this had happened to the guests before us, but it was not taken care of.
And if that wasn’t enough, on our 3rd night we had a power outage! This time: no water and no running water! The manager responded (yay!) after about 30 minutes saying that “these things happen in Cyprus and the electrician will come in tomorrow”... Really? Cyprus had nothing to do with it as the neighbors all had power.
At that point we were all ready to pack up (in the dark) and check into a hotel with running water and electricity! It was a true nightmare!
Luckily the owner instructed us to find yet another switch box as “this happens every now and then at the villa and all you need to do is bring the switch back on”. Really? If this is something that happens every now and then, why not include the info in the very lengthy instructions packet?
Needless to say, we had additional power outages but were well versed in the switch board art.
Finally, the villa is advertised as “AC available in all rooms”. True, though the AC is limited to 30/60/120 minute intervals, which caused us to wake up every 2 hours, every night, sweating, to turn the AC back on. If you’re used to sleeping with the AC on, please take this into account.
