We have just spent a wonderful 11 days at The Retreat and it really lived up to its name. The villa has everything you need. The balcony off the main bedroom is delightful with views of the hills and the sea we could also see and here horses. We sat there everyday for an extended breakfast watching the birds coming and going. The villa is well stocked and kept up together. The village is so quaint and offers everything you would need. The best mese in our opinion is at The Bunch of Grapes which is in the village square and the best Baklava is at the Two Friends Tavern. The people are so friendly and helpful. The beach is a short drive away with beautiful clear waters to swim in. The location is quiet and yet close enough for everything you need to switch off and recharge the batteries. We loved it and will certainly be going back. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have just returned from 10 days staying at 'The Retreat' with my 9 year old grandson. We found beautiful deserted bays with crystal clear water and fish for snorkling, plus beachside tavernas - we especially loved Kourion beach below the equally impressive cliff top archaelogical park (could have spent a full day walking in the footsteps of ancient Greeks and Romans). We also found lovely bars and restaurants in the friendly ethnic hill top village of Pissouri, where 'The Retreat' is situated. My most abiding memories are of driving through the vinyards and olive plantations to Melanda beach and of walking on the hills spotting lizards and strange plants and insects!! My grandsons abiding memories are the crepes sold in Pissouri Square, after 8pm!! We really didnt want to come home, it was an idyllic, relaxing few days and I would like to thank Jane, the owner, for allowing us to stay in her villa and discover the real Cyprus for ourselves. Yes, you will need a car, but the roads arent busy and they drive on the left hand side.

Stayed at "The Retreat" in August and cannot praise the villa highly enough. It is immaculate from top to bottom and has everything you would need for a wonderful stay in Cyprus. It is in a beautiful quiet location but still close enough to the village to be able to enjoy it's beautiful bars and restaurants whilst being near Paphos and Limassol, with use of a car. There is genuinely nothing I could say against this wonderful villa and would have no hesitation in staying there again.

The villa represents great value for money (even had plenty of books, DVDs, toys for our two children) and sits in a lovely quiet complex only a 15-20 walk in to Pissouri village centre. Would have no hesitation staying there again.

Lovely villa which was a great base to explore the island. It had everything we needed and was very spacious, clean and homely. The outside space was nice too with plenty of seating and a bbq. The stairs are open plan (as to be expected) which just meant we needed to be a bit more aware with our monkey toddler. However there was plenty of toys, games and dvds there to keep him and our 4 year old daughter entertained. On some of the really hot nights (42°C during the day!), it would have been nice not to have the aircon on a timer as it got really hot upstairs (which affected the kids more than us), but we do understand why it is set up like this, to prevent it being used unnecessarily. The pool was a short walk away and was great. Very quiet and clean and the club house was handy when needing the loo or wanting to get changed. The villa is sat on top of a hill so we found hiring a car really helped with getting about. Cyprus is so easy to drive round too. The villa's location is quiet and an excellent place to relax, whilst being easy to get to the village to eat and the more busy places. Overall a much needed break and the perfect place to do it. Thank you for loaning your home we would definitely stay again!

Excellent villa with everything a family with children could need. Would definitely recommend to other families. Pool was very clean and just a short walk away. Beach a 10 minute drive through the pretty streets and winding hill. Felt like home from home.

The Retreat is conveniently placed on a very attractive site next to a pine wood on the outskirts of the pretty village of Pissouri.The property has everything one could possibly need for an enjoyable self catering holiday.

We v stayed In Jane's villa in June certainly 100% enjoyed our stay. The villa is huge, modern and everything necessary for us and our small baby was provided to make our short visit comfy. We had to attend a wedding in the Limassol but did not want to stay in this city. In Pussouri nextby we found what we searched. A small and cosy but still comfy village what seems despite the UK community sort of authentic. Admittedly the villa is some 25 min walk to "the square" but other villas in Pissouri shares this 'problem' too, and a car is anyway necessary when staying in Pissouri. I did research before and in the middle of the village nothing comparatively seems available. From all these villas in this new development area Jane's one I feel is the nicest as it is the one closest to the village, the garden seems bigger and best taken care for and the next villa doesn't follow as closely as the other ones do. This villa ticked all the boxes for us when we visited with our two children aged 1 and 3 during the summer. The villa is very well equipped with children's toys, games and equipment which made our stay comfortable and worry free. We were welcomed to the villa by the local agent when we arrived and found it to be immaculate and well maintained. The location of the villa is excellent and we enjoyed walking into the village for meals in the village square. It is a short drive to the beach and within easy reach of Paphos and Larnaca for days further a field. The clubhouse pool is lovely and there are tennis courts and a super children's play area to use during your stay. Couldn't recommend this villa highly enough.

This is our second year at The Retreat and would stand by our comments from last year a great "home from home". The local agent keeps the villa in a spotlessly clean condition and is very helpful should you need assistance.
