Sunnybank has the most amazing views over porthleven Bay, from virtually every room in the house!! The house was clean, with everything, but the hairdryer, we needed. We noticed a couple of damages and lack of hairdryer when we arrived and let Jeff, the owner, know. He was extremely attentive and nipped round to make sure we were happy and offered to buy us a hairdryer. The house itself is lovely. It has plenty of space (we were a family of 7 adults and 4 dogs) a big garden, the kitchen is well equipped with washer and dish washer, the bedrooms are all a good size and has parking for 3 cars. It is getting a little bit tired in a few areas. However, from speaking to the owner, he's in the process of updating things. If I was being exceptionally picky i would have liked plain white bedding and towels, but maybe that's just me. It did feel like we were staying in someone's home rather than a holiday let, which in a way was nice. It's about a 10 minute walk into porthleven harbour and about 15 to 20 walking back, as it is up a steep hill. So if you struggle with mobility issues you may have to drive to the village. It's close by, down the hill, to the beach and the costal path to loe bar ( dog friendly) and the closet pub/restaurant is the atlantic, which is 5 minutes walk away. As an advisory. Please be aware that if you book through booking.com, they didn't notify us that we had to pay for the dogs. (We've been lucky enough not to have in other places we've stayed) Although we were happy to do this, we only found out through arranging our arrival 2 days before our holiday. This then was an unexpected cost on top of the price of the holiday ( especially with 4) we weren't aware of. All in all a lovely stay and would stay again.

Visited with friends for a weekend. Lovely space with amazing views. Great location for walks, local beaches and only a 10 minute walk into Porthleven. Would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this spacious, light, airy and wonderfully located property! The views of the sea and Porthleven harbour entrance are amazing! We found the property to be a clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay! We loved walking the lovely new National Trust paths over to Loe Bar and found great fish and chips in town (with gluten-free batter for our daughter!). We also had a fabulous day on the golden, soft sands at nearby Praa Sands! We will be booking again!

A fantastic break in a gorgeous part of Cornwall. The house was clean, tidy and well equipped. Stunning views from the lounge and balcony. Just a short walk down a hill to the town with good pubs and restaurants available. Walk the other direction and you're on the coastal footpath. Could have easily stayed for longer.

The house was easily big enough for the nine people staying. The living room had plenty of sofas and a lovely view of the sea. The garden was also large and safe for the dog (a small gap in one corner needs repair but we put a dustbin across it which worked). It was an easy walk to the centre of Porthleven and to the beach. Porthleven has plenty of good places to eat and the beach, when the tide is out is very nice. Swimming for children is not a good idea though because of a steep shelf and strong waves, but Kynance cove fifteen minutes drive away is perfect for families. Tony who looks after the property is very helpful and willing to be contacted if we needed any help. The only suggestion for improvement would be some local information left in the property as to places to eat and other places of interest including beaches.
