At first sight, a cute little cottage with a small cliff top garden, its own parking space, breathtaking views and in a perfect location for shops and restaurants. The property was spotlessly clean, has a very comfy bed and a welcome tray was setbout on our arrival.
Sounds like a perfect holiday retreat but we found the drawbacks soon enough ....You enter the cottage at street level and find yourself in a tiny livingroom with a kitchen. Two comfy armchaurs take up most of the space, there is not even a small table. The kitchen is well equipped - alas, there's simply no room to actually cook a proper meal (no worktop space), apart from the fridge, there's no storage space.
There is a garden table and two chairs, which is nice for al fresco dining....weather permitting. We managed to have breakfast outside just once, it was too cold, windy and rainy. So we ended up carrying the garden furniture inside, there was just enough space in the bedroom for that.
Grandad's Net Loft enjoys fabulous views, but it is best suited for either a single person or a couple who intends to eat out and will not use the kitchen apart from the microwave.....
