Holiday Rental House
Villa Riptide is by far one of the best available villas for your holiday, located in the elite province of Finisterre approximately 4 miles from the hustle and bustle of the town, although it is a pleasant walk along the coastal route into town (especially when you find some nice bars and restaurants along the way). The breeze from the Atlantic Ocean is extremely soothing and given that the villa has mosquito screens, you can enjoy the breeze at night in the knowledge that there will be no unwelcome visitors. If you’d rather keep the windows closed, all three bedrooms have eco friendly air conditioning. Guests constantly ask about where they can walk from the villa. There is a promenade in front of the villa but it boasts only the occasional walkers as it only stretches the length of the properties in Finisterre because of Spanish Building regulations. The rough ground is only a short distance to the promenade at the lighthouse, which goes all the way into Playa Blanca. We can walk to La Mulata along the promenade in 20 minutes and a further 40 minutes takes us to Playa Blanca Town Centre. La Mulata has a lovely 5* cocktail bar called Marea's and lovely restaurants upstairs, including Luna Rosa, an Italian; Sebastyans, a Greek restaurant and an Argentinean Steak House. Details of all the lovely restaurants are in the villa and if you don't want to walk at night, the taxi fare is around 6 Euros.

In Faro Park, the nearest shopping centre, and only 10 minutes walk from the villa, we are very lucky with some lovely restaurants and a convenience mini market. I would thoroughly recommend Le Moka, which has the most amazing French Pastry and the quiches are to die for. We often buy them for lunch and take them back to the villa to have them with salad and a nice glass of wine. The Port of Call also does a lovely carry out cooked chicken, again lovely with salad. There is also an Italian restaurant, Dal Travisano, opened up in Faro Park and it is excellent, both for carry out meals and sitting in. The Spanish restaurant, La Flamenca, is very good also. Just recently there has been another fabulous addition in Coentro: This restaurant has been opened by Joao Faraco, who was voted the best chef in Lanzarote in 2018, but, please note, booking is essential. We discovered by chance during our last visit another welcome addition to lovely bars in the area: If you go out the sea gate and turn right and follow the coastal path, you will reach after about 10 minutes a lovely cocktail bar at Coral Beach. It really is very relaxing and we were surprised at how cheap the cocktails were. There are wonderful restaurants in Playa Blanca centre and Marina Rubicon. Our favourite in Playa Blanca is La Chalanita, which is above Casa Pedro. Our favourite in Marina Rubicon is Casa Roja. We have also started using A takeaway service which is perfect for those nights when you just want to chill on the terrace: The takeaways come from restaurants all over Playa Blanca and I thoroughly recommend it. If you want a chef to come to the villa to cook for you, we can personally recommend an excellent chef. Regarding supermarkets, there are lots of Spar Shops scattered around Playa Blanca and, of course, the Hyper Dino in Playa Blanca. We provide a welcome pack to get you started of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, orange juice, bread, ham, cheese and a bottle of wine. I've got to say, however, that the supermarket in Faro Park is also very good. There is now an off licence in Faro Park and the prices are very competitive.

If you require bikes during your holiday, the cycle hire shop we use is situated at the harbour at Punta Limones. Make no mistake, if luxury and tranquillity is your criteria you would be hard pushed to better this outstanding villa. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 2015/2013/5922More

Thank you. I’m glad you had a wonderful holiday. We endeavour to maintain the villa to a high standard and our reward is when our guests love the villa as much as we do. Thanks again for being such lovely guests.

About the neighbourhood
Playa Blanca has a traffic free, paved promenade lined with good quality al fresco restaurants, boutiques and gift shops and at its centre a small, sandy family beach. This paved promenade stretches some 10 km from El Pechiguera lighthouse at the southern tip of Lanzarote, where the villa is situated, all the way to the fabulous new Rubicon Marina with its quality restaurants and designer shops surrounding floating jetties lined with yachts and motor cruisers of all shapes and sizes From Playa Blanca you are also around 15 minutes ride from Fuerteventura which is the closest Islands to Lanzarote. This allows you to travel over and explore some of the best beaches in the world. One of the newest areas in Playa Blanca is Marina Rubicon. This marina is now complete and is becoming the most...
