Great location!
Easy to find and simple to check in. A great location, the road is a bit noisy at times so maybe not great for a light sleeper who wants a lie in! Views amazing, sat for hours watching sunsets and sunrises.

1 Week Holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Inishail. The house was comfortable and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Fabulous views across Loch Linnie and, whilst it is on the main road to Oban, the traffic is not enough to be intrusive (we live in a very quiet village so we noticed the traffic the first night but the sound of the waterfall up the hill to the back is actually louder - and very pleasant). The spiral staircase may be a problem for anyone not confident on their feet but I managed them well enough (despite a broken ankle) and there is a divan sofa bed in the living room if needed (both bathroom and shower room are downstairs). Less than 5 mins walk along a footpath to the hotel with a good chef and restaurant set right on the Loch shore. The owner has been very accomodating over all the hassles with re-bookings over the pandemic and I'm pretty sure we'll be booing again.

Lovely cottage for a relaxing or active break!
Lovely cottage- clean and well equipped with a great view. Very short walk (on Sustrans path) to the Holly tree Hotel for a meal - would recommend!

Ideal location
Very nice little cottage and handy for all the outdoor activities and also to see the neighbouring towns and villages. The accommodation was very good and we spent our time in the front lounge enjoying the view over the loch. The staircase is not suitable for young children or older people but we didn’t have an issue with this. It’s a busy road during the day but does get quiet at night. The drive could do with a bit of attention in trimming back some of the aggressive plants! Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Glencoe cottage
Beautiful cottage with beautiful views, stairs was a problem also felt it would be good to have had a gate on front garden for the safety of children and dogs due to the very fast road out front, also back garden you had to watch your footing with the rough ground and slate that was down.

Lovely cottage.
A really well located and well furnished cottage. Good size with a very impressive view of the Loch. Loved the layout of the house and the log burner. House was immaculately clean, which was reassuring in these times! Upstairs is definitely tight for headroom and the tight stairs a bit tricky but wouldn't stop me coming back.

Beautiful comfortable cottage
Positives: very comfortable, very clean, well equipped, lovely garden, amazing views, excellent hotel less than 5 mins walk, lovely walks along cycle path, excellent base for walkers, cyclists, lazy sightseeing. Negatives: busy noisy road (but you get used to it), perilous staircase (not for the faint-hearted or poor mobility)

Idyllic location, magnificent views, central highland location and a truly well appointed, home from home, cottage.
Kentallen, Glencoe is central in the Highlands of Scotland. What captured our attention when booking the cottage were the views out over the Loch, views we know well from staying at the Ballachulish Hotel previously. The updated interior of the cottage was fabulous. There is plenty of room for a family to separate and have space. Across the road there is a walkway along the old railway that runs beside the Loch that will take you to Glencoe, 4 miles away. This also runs alongside the road but is dog safe because of the separation between road and footpath. 300 yards the other way there is the fantastic Holly Tree Hotel serving meals all day. This is a much added to former branch line railway station, but the hotel has retained the original booking hall inside and much of the previous history is tastefully displayed. We ate there 3 times out of our 7 day stay. Many other places to eat locally were closed due to the Covid situation. The Holly Tree staff were really friendly and the scenery was good too. Cottage location for the area was perfect. We traveled all around the Highlands from here on day trips to Mallaig, Glenfinnan, Oban, all around Glencoe, Fort William, and just driving and stopping where the view was perfect. We even found ‘tame’ wild deer at the hotel on top of Glencoe/Rannoch Moor. Our trip to Mallaig yielded a steam engine train, The Jacobite, en route and on arrival in Mallaig was standing in the station. If and when we return, this is where we would stay again. The stairs are steep and curving but only the really elderly will find real issues. No problem for us. The back garden is fully fenced and gated and was perfect for our 2 cocker spaniels to be safe with no risk of escape onto the busy main road that runs in front of the property. Prior to our visit the owner responded very quickly to our queries including confirming that any booking cancellation due to Covid would trigger a full refund of our booking fees. She was a pleasure to deal with. We had a fabulous holiday and we will be back. A five star rating from us.

Nice views, good location
Views and location excellent. Having bedrooms upstairs and toilets downstairs was not very convenient. Also beware....bring everything, no hand soap, no salt, pepper or cooking oil.
