Large 2 story apartment Suite with kitchen (140m2), on the grounds of the Château, independent with private garden (barbecue and longchairs). Private access on to the rue de la Douve 'petit' walled garden Large entrance hall usefull for storage of bicycles and personal items. Interaction with guests: Hotel specialists, the owners of the castle of MOH wanted to add an offer of accommodation in the village of Candes Saint Martin to complete the offer of accommodation of the castle. The level of comfort and the decoration of the 12 suites of the castle are of the same level as the rooms in the castle.

Tranquil beauty on the Loire
We stayed in the enchanting village of Candes-St. Martin on the Loire River for a chamber music event which lasted for an entire week. Our loft at the Chateau de Candes, named “Loft”, suited our needs perfectly. Located in a thick-walled stone building which kept us cool in 90+ temperatures, Loft has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, a lovely living room with a huge window overlooking a courtyard and a pretty and well-functioning kitchen. During the high temperatures of our week, we enjoyed the salt water pool in the garden of the chateau. We thought there was supposed to be some maid service but only saw a vacuum in front of our door on the first day— one ever came in. We are tidy so this was not really a problem. The lofts of Chateau de Candes are the perfect place from which to enjoy the Loire Valley, whether you’re biking, touring the chateaux, vineyards and charming villages or playing chamber music!

About the neighbourhood
Municipality of the department of Indre et Loire, Candes Saint Martin is one of the most beautiful French villages. The houses of the village are beautiful and some date back to the 15th century. During your stay in our Suites, you can, going up the village, to go to the discovery of the troglodyte dwellings located in the cliff. Do not miss the rue du Bas where the Loire sailors lived when the village of Candes Saint Martin was a fishing port. You can also admire the collegiate church of the village or went to many kings of France and England and was built in memory of the monk Saint Martin who died 300 meters from the place where was built the collegiate.
Getting around
If you like walking, a walk to the Panorama will give you a breathtaking view of the confluence. From our Suites in the Loire Valley you can go to the nearby village of Montsoreau by a footpath with breathtaking views of the Loire and the castle. At the confluence of the Loire and the Vienne, the village of Candes Saint Martin is located on a hillside which offers many visitors a beautiful view from the bridge overlooking the Vienne. Do not hesitate to contact us to book your stay in our bed and breakfast located in a charming place, the ideal accommodation to visit the region and discover the local products.
