Compared to all the main resorts of the Tyrrhenian coast of northern Lazio, Fregene is not crossed by Strada statale 1 Aurelia, which is connected via two interchanges: Fregene-Cesano-Testa di Lepre, who is the closest to Rome, and Fregene, near Torrimpietra. The resort is also accessible from Rome by motorway A12 Roma – Civitavecchia through the exits of Fregene and Maccarese-Torrimpietra and from Via Portuense, to which it is linked by road to Muratella.
The town is also served by the Maccarese station-Fregene, located on the Tyrrhenian Railway.
Fregene is located 15 km north of the Leonardo Da Vinci Airport, which is located in the town of Fiumicino, and approximately 40 km from the airport of Ciampino. The port of Civitavecchia, finally, is located 55 miles to the North.
