We stayed here for 7 days. Once I got out of the car I said I didn't want to leave. We were even greeted by a double rainbow. For me it was perfect. I felt like I was home. Fabio greeted us with a bottle of wine and tour of the place. The villa was rustic and homey. The views were spectacular. The weather though a bit cooler than Florence was comfortable and the evenings were perfect snuggling temperature as you watched the evenings blanket the town below you and the lights come on. It was the perfect place to unwind after the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence. I found it difficult to leave. You do need a car to get there. But once there you can walk to the town and back.

My wife and I visited Stia in mid Sept for 11 days. We used the cottage as a base for our travels; Sienna, Cortana, Rimini and Florence are all 1-2 hours away. The house is very rustic as you will see from the photos, the land around it is large and very flexible; outside oven (we used to make fresh pizza), bbq, multiple sheltered seating areas and the pool. When up in the cottage, you feel very remote, but the village is just 1.5km down the hill - we did a daily shopping trip for fresh products in under 30 min. The host, Fabio, doesn't speak English but he's very friendly. He arranged for an ex-pat, Monica, to be at the cottage as we arrived, which helped tremendously. She was an excellent guide and happy to continue giving help / tourist advice via WhatsApp during our stay. We would/will definitely return to the cottage but would go June to August to make full use of the pool.

Maison atypique pour des vacances au calme. Nous avons apprécié l'environnement, le style campagnard de l'habitation et la vue sur la vallée depuis la piscine. Nous regrettons néanmoins, la proximité d'une maison, non précisé dans l'annonce ainsi qu'un accès à la piscine en terre qui mériterait un aménagement.

Sehr schöne Lage, sehr saubere Unterkunft, sehr gepflegte Anlage (incl. Pool), schöne Umgebung, netter Vermieter (sehr engagiert), einziger Nachteil ist die sehr steile (und schlechte) Zufahrtstraße.

Une maison traditionnelle de la campagne toscane avec tout le confort et la piscine. Tout a été parfait. Les propriétaires Fabio et son fils Lorenzo sont charmants et très sympathiques. Ils n'habitent pas sur place mais sont disponibles si besoin. Une semaine très agréable dans un coin très nature de la Toscane. Dans le village de Stia, nous recommandons notre "cantine" la Trattoria Da Filetto, la gelatteria... mais dans la région il y a plein d'autres adresses à découvrir. Nous recommandons cette adresse authentique, entre Firenze et Arezzo.
