This is our 2nd stay here. It was nice as usual, very quiet area, easy to go to beach or the center of tobermory. You can have camp fire at backyard or little walk in the woods. Enough space for 3 families with kids. Quick reply on messages, nice and clean. We'll be back again next summer :)

This property is a few stone throws from downtown Tobermory, nestled in the woods just off the road, providing an isolated and private experience. Overall, our stay was great. The owner was very helpful for our check-in to help prevent any potential hiccups. Availability of dishes, cutlery, glasses, pans was unclear due to Covid-19 concerns, but they were there. The place was clean and generally most things worked. As others have noted, the lighting and fan controls require a little guess work. Lighting in the living room was a bit low and the switch was out of the way on the stairs (minor nitpick). Info for the garbage/recycling sites was readily available (there is one site a few minutes away, another on the way out of the Peninsula). Windows were easy to manage to let in cooler night air. The bedrooms are roomy enough. Not certain how common it was, but the balconies were generally mosquito free. We did some Perseid meteor watching from the balcony late at night and weren't bothered by the bugs. With the near non-existent lights, this was a great location for dark sky viewing of the stars. Balcony could use some chairs though and the outside is a bit "Spartan" however. Happy with our stay.

Property was fine, suited our basic needs. More instructions and better lighting/ fans, took us some time to figure it all out. Furniture could be in better repair and the outdoor areas cleaned up. Took away from the charm of the place. Functional laundry facilities would of been nice for a large group. Things do not dry well when hot and humid outside Quiet, secluded in the trees, very private.

Great property tucked away in the trees, not far from the centre of Tobermory. The property has decks both at the front and back. The property has a bedroom and one full bathroom on the main floor as well as a powder room on the second floor with two more bedrooms. The cottage is well stocked and very clean. The only drawback for anyone with mobility issues is that the property is accessed by stairs. The host was very pleasant and makes sure you understand what is expected of you. We would definitely stay at this property again.

It was clean,quiet and nice cozy place to stay. Easy check in, quick response. We couldn't use kettle 'cause it's not clean but other than that it's quite nice place to stay. Our kids enjoyed Netflix,too. If we have a chance for another time, we'll definitely come back!

Our overall experience was very good. The only little issue was that the beds sizes stated in cottage description didn't match their actual sizes, but other than that, the cottage is really nice and clean, it has wonderful privacy, and the host was friendly and easily accessible. We definitely enjoyed our stay in this cottage.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The amenities are perfect for a family. The only disappointing and unexpected surprise was the abandoned looking trailer by the firepit. There were also some odd looking ropes or large straps hanging from trees which created an uninviting feel around the fire pit. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

The cottage was as seen in the listing. The check in was smooth. Tina always answered any questions we had. The cottage was spacious and airy. Very close to downtown and the beach. The only downside was that there were many bugs outside and we had to dash from the car to the house to avoid getting bitten.

Clean open concept cottage, great location, very close to town of Tobermory and major sites. Closely read the amenities description: limited kitchen tableware, good thing we brought paper plates and extra utensils, kitchen chairs look great but are slightly worn out when sitting; loose springs. We knew there was no bbq, no coffee maker so we brought our own plus extra coffee mugs - there was only 2. Although there is a lovely local bakery within walking distance if you prefer to purchase coffee and delicious pastries each morning. One of the mattresses upstairs is actually a box spring, therefore was on the hard side. Outdoor table and chairs: owner does not have padding available, exactly how you see it on the site photo. Bring your own. Overall the cottage was spacious for the 9 of us. The 1.5 bathrooms was a bonus.

This is a very clean cottage located just a few kilometres south of the Town of Tobermory. Very well maintained and out of sight of the main road.
