Great vacation spot, incredible beach and views, lots of wild life in your backyard, pool was an absolute bonus dring the heat of the day. Felt very safe and location was quite private. Could of used fans outside on the patio due to lack of breeze under covered patio area.

I've been going to Esterillos for 7 years and it continues to fully deliver on the pura vida lifestyle. Mike is super responsive, great to work with, and ensured everything was coordinated as we did our planning, our arrival, and our departure. The property manager, Laura, is the best I've worked with in my years of traveling to Costa Rica. She made herself available during our stay and was very helpful whenever we needed local advice. The property is perfect - the pool is great with views of the beach and the palm trees above, the rooms are clean and air conditioned (for the brief time you actually are inside), and the beach itself is indescribably beautiful. 10/10 will be coming back again.

My stay was in early July, do not expect luxury accommodation, it is rustic and needs some TLC, but if you want off the beaten path and not to run into every single tourist in CR, then by all means, please come. For my family and I, it was the best, we were in the pool or at the beach all day with cold beers and good homemade food, the children loved it, my daughter is a cat lover and when we arrived there were two abandoned kittens living on the premises which we took care of while there, it was really hard to leave them there and the property manager assured us they would be okay, we really hope so. Cheap groceries in Parrita or Jacó before you get there. We meant to go explore the area and tours while there but we loved the pool and beach so much we never left and we wished we stayed longer. Loved the Cariblancos that visited us every other evening. Again, needs some TLC and updates, but still 5 stars for us. Cheers :)

Amazing location and beach! Very quiet and off the beaten path. The house needs some maintenance and not to my standards of cleanliness. That being said, loved the price and the privacy of our own pool and house on a beautiful beach with fun critters visiting us (sea crabs, iguanas, frogs, and big rat looking rodents.) Property managers were the best! Shout out to Laura and Mike. Laura is an amazing surf instructor and is very motivating. Highly recommend. She will never make you feel ashamed and has the heart of a teacher! Very motivating! PURA VIDA! We loved the ability to walk up the road to the Sunset Del Mar restaurant to have an amazing meal and awesome drinks! Location is far enough away to be private but yet close enough to all tourism and restaurants. We chose not to use the oven to cook mainly because the pans and cooking utensils looked scary. Could have used some dish soap to clean which was not supplied as well as toilet paper (two rolls only, 6 people-one week?). So we took advantage of the variety of food available in the area and in Jaco. It made an excellent home base. Didn't have to drive more than 45 minutes to get to any excursion. If in the area, definitely eat at Los Almendros in Esterillios Oeste. Top notch seafood as well as a variety of Caribbean dishes! Say high to Mile High Freddy! Overall, the reason for 3 stars was for the cleanliness and lack of maintenance. Very easily overlooked. We definitely would go back especially because the cost and the hospitality. It was a wonderful stay!

Warm pool, big clean sandy beach is a few hundred feet away, walk on over. Ample space in home and yard. Had a lot of fun watching the monkeys play every morning early. We didn't cook there, because with car (SUV preferred) there are numerous restaurants in vicinity. Owner and manager very flexible.
