Town: Nestled immediately north of the Shropshire Hills AONB, close the Welsh and English borders, this small market town in Shropshire has a warm and charming air to it. This town houses a town hall, train station, real ale pubs, pleasant cafes and friendly restaurants, as well as a few specialised stores brimming with delights, and is the administrative centre for Shropshire council's northern area committee. This is the excellent area to visit if you prefer walking, as there are several trails and pathways that will take you through beautiful scenery. Visit the nearby Tudor town of Shrewsbury, which has a historic castle, a gorgeous abbey, and a fascinating museum and art gallery. This town is notable for being the birthplace of Charles Darwin, whose statue stands outside the public library.
