Great apartment in a great location
This apartment is in a fantastic location where there is lots to do for all ages groups from the very young to the more mature person.
The apartment has everything you could possibly want or need - being compact and very well equipped with a great kitchen area if you wish to try this great French produce from the supermarket nearby or from the fab street market on Monday's during the summer
A 15 minute walk takes you to the lakeside beach at Bout de Lac where swimming under the vista of the Alps is magical
I would highly recommend this apartment

Great stay all round.........
Had a great time at this lovely residence. Ideal for all sorts of activities - we managed walking, cycling, swimming and enjoying the local towns and villages and scenery. The property itself was really well equipped, very clean, spacious and well situated for local shops and bar/restaurants. The owner was very helpful, efficient and well organised.

Excellent village location
Our family of 4- with 2 teenage children- really enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner was very helpful before and after our trip providing detailed directions to the property and advice on travel arrangements. The property is relatively compact and functional but that is what you expect for the price. It was immaculately clean, well-furnished and had the bonus of free wi fi which was helpful for planning our trips. There is parking in a garage under the building but worth noting that this is tight if you have a large hire car- we had been warned in advance. We particularly enjoyed the village location – bakers, butchers, supermarket and bar are all on the doorstep. There is a lot to do in the area- both around the lake and further afield. We spent time in Megeve and also on Lake Geneva. Would be more than happy to recommend.

About the neighbourhood
Doussard is close to many activities for Summer holidays, and convenient for several ski-stations. Some Doussard addresses actually are a few minutes drive from the village itself, so we particularly like it that we can walk within a couple of minutes to good food shops including two supermarkets, the boulangerie and a charcuterie, Bar; and to a summer market on Monday morningsAppartment 1 is only a few minutes from the beach & port at Bout du Lac/Doussard. From May-Sept a water bus leaves three times daily for Annecy, for shopping, restaurants, history and theatre. By car Annecy is 25 minutes along the west side of the lake, and not much longer along the east side. (You can cycle between Doussard and Annecy on a dedicated cycle piste) As well as water sports on the lake, you can hang-glide with an instructor from Col de la Forclaz, above Talloires. We are halfway between spectacular golf courses at Golf du lacAnnecy, and the 9 & 18-hole courses at Golf de Giez with its views of Mont Blanc and LacAnnecy. Each is about ten minutes away. In 2004 the Tour de France passed near to Doussard, and in 2009 a time trial circled the lake, passing Doussard. Annecy is the regional centre, both modern and historical at the same time. It has department stores, speciality shopping and a modern shopping mall, not far from the Old Town where there is a huge choice of restaurants and bars by the canals. As well as the water omnibus that circumnavigates the lake, stopping at all six ports for hopping off and on around the lake, during the summer you can take tourist cruises and even have lunch or dinner on board the Libellule. A popular landing area is at the sports pavilion on the edge of Doussard. Visitors who have stayed during the winter have enjoyed being able to visit different ski-stations on different days, before visiting Annecy in the evenings for a wider choice of restaurants than is available in most ski resorts. ...

How to get there
By road via Autoroute from the Channel Ports until about 45 minutes from Annecy; or by Air via Geneva, about 45-50 minutes to Annecy and a further 20-25 minutes to Residence les Gentianes near the lake. During the winter schedules, flights into Grenoble, Chambery and Lyon also are practical.
