Spent a week at angel cottage and cannot find fault with anything! Easy to book and get in, extremely clean and great facilities! Such a great little location and super cute and cosy inside. Lovely little touches like Prosecco and biscuits, toiletries, cleaning supplies, coffee machine etc... will absolutely be coming back to stay soon! Thanks for a lovely stay, highly recommend!

I have to say, this cottage is the perfect location for exploring the somerset coastline. The cottage was extremely clean and tidy and has everything you need for that home from home experience. We are very particular about where we stay and would have no hesitation staying here again. The locals are welcoming and very helpful. The pub is 50 yards away and the stores are even closer.

Had a great time at Angel Cottage in the small village of Stogursey. Pub right across the road, store nearby and great place to explore the area from. The main living area is great to relax in and there is plenty of room for 3-4 people. I can highly recommend it and hope to stay again in the future!

Stogursey is a charming and ancient village, workaday and away from main roads and the tourist trail. The ruined castle is 'picture postcard'. Angel Cottage is a quiet, 17th century, thatch-roofed terraced house. Comfortable, well equipped, modern and clean inside; everything worked. Two outside gardens for warm evenings, we sat out by the plum tree. Pub with very good real ale 75 yards away; Village shop opposite, 'open all hours'. Will definitely visit again. Joan and John

We had a wonderful stay at Angel Cottage. The cottage itself is perfect, had everything we could have have needed, was child friendly, warm, comfortable and clean. The village is so pretty and in a great location for the surrounding attractions. We visited Cleeve, Dunster, Minehead, Kilve beach and the steam railway. The welcome gifts were a lovely surprise. Thank you Penny.

My wife, grown up daughter and myself had a fantastic long weekend at this beautiful thatched cottage in the heart of this beautiful village. The cottage has 2 beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds, a fully stocked modern kitchen, and bathroom with shower cubicle. Penny, the owner was really helpful texting me before our visit with all the necessary information and the Prosecco and chocolates was s lovely thoughtful welcoming gift. the cottage has off street private parking, a courtyard and garden. The cottage is set in a quintessential English village and is an ideal location to explore the stunning surroundings, we will definitely be making a return visit.

Angel cottage is a beautifully restored cottage full of character in a lovely location. Stogursey is a pretty village with friendly locals, lovely pub just across the street and a well equipped shop less than a minutes walk. The cottage is charming, very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing break away and spotlessly clean. Penny and Brian were fantastic hosts, friendly, accommodating and very thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Angel cottage, would highly recommend and definitely return.

About the neighbourhood
A short walk across the road leads down to the ruins of an 11th century castle. You will also pass and an old water mill. The church in the village also dates from the 11th century. St Andrews Well and ancient cross are also within a minutes walk. Within a few miles there is a Kilve, a jurassic beach by the East Quantock hills, that’s crammed with fossils. Watchet, a lovely small harbor and Steart Marshes,a beautiful wildlife walk are only a short drive.West Somerset Railway, the longest heritage line in England also operates near by. Drive a little further and you’ll find Western Super Mare, Cheddar Gorge, Burnham On Sea and Glastonbury which are all less than an hour away.
Getting around
Car is the easiest but there is a bus that goes between Bridgwater and Minehead stopping in the village but you should check the frequency and times in advance so as not to be disappointed. Walking and cycling are very popular.
