Due to the fantastic border location, Welsh attractions are within reach eg Betws-y-Coed and Llangollen Canal. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 4.8 miles and pub 1.6 miles. Please note that regrettably the property can only accept children 12 years of age and over. Amenities: Oil heating throughout with dedicated underfloor heating on ground floor. Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: This market town is nestled just north of the Shropshire Hills AONB, near the borders of Wales and England. It occupies a town hall, train station, real ale pubs, cafés and restaurants, as well as a few specialty shops. Visit the Tudor town of Shrewsbury nearby, with its castle, abbey and museum and art gallery, while the National Trust's Attingham Park boasts a walled garden. Throughout the area is walking, fishing and outdoor pursuit all waiting your discovery.More

The pictures do not do this cottage justice! It was absolutely stunning, everything you ever need is there. The sofa was so comfy, the kitchen was just a dream kitchen. The beds were comfy the bathrooms were so clean. The hot tub was just a cherry on top. The view from the lounge was just beautiful, we saw rabbits, squirrels and birds all playing in the garden. So quiet and peaceful. Honestly if you have doubts about booking... don't! You will not regret it. Oh the home made cake was absolutely delicious. Sally and Alan are perfect hosts, there are right there if you need them but also leave you alone to enjoy your holiday away. Definitely will be booking again soon

We stayed October 2019 and have booked again for May 2021, would love to stay again this year but it’s pretty much booked up. Beautiful cottage in stunning grounds. The views and sunsets were outstanding. Very private. Everything you could want and need. Hot tub In the conservatory was a welcome addition for relaxing after a day of exploring in Shropshire. Very clean. I Have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Highly recommended. Oh and the delicious homemade Victoria sponge was to die for!
