Kefalos is a small village, built on a mountain, on the southwest side of the island of Kos, which belongs to the Dodecanese archipelago and lies in the Greek Aegean Sea. The houses in Kefalos are arranged close to each other. The narrow streets were once intended only for the people and their donkeys. In antiquity it was the first capital of the island. Today, the village has about 3000 inhabitants. House Askethros and House Platanos are situated on a 9,500 m² plot, located in the wildlife sanctuary of Kefalos, in a rural setting. We too, the landlords live here. The houses are located 105 m above sea level. From here you have a fantastic view of the Aegean Sea and our neighboring islands. The village of Kefalos, whose center is 2 km away, is at the same height. On the little busy road Kefalos - direction fishing port Limnionas, you will find, quiet and away from mass tourism, the two comfortable and well-equipped cottages. You are surrounded by unspoiled nature, which invites to walks and bike rides. Between the street and the houses is a small olive grove, with 30 still young trees, planted. Directly opposite the houses is a newly built mill, which was set up as a café. You can quickly reach our numerous, beautiful sandy beaches, which are not so well developed touristically. Here, in the outskirts of Kefalos, you will find the most beautiful beaches of the whole island. On some, but different beach sections, water sports are offered - windsurfing, kiteboarding, catamaran sailing and much more. However, there are also almost deserted beaches here. Become part of the life of our traditional village Kefalos. Feel the hospitality of the local people and enjoy getting a glimpse into the life of the Greeks. Or stay in the tourist parts called Kamari and Kampos, located directly below the sea. Also here are 2 km. There are many restaurants, taverns, bars, tourist shops, supermarkets and travel agencies that offer day trips and boat trips. With Haus Platanos as your starting point, dear guests, you can explore the whole island. DESCRIPTION OF THE HOLIDAY DOMICILE Our holiday home Platanos was completed in 2009 and has a living space of 102 m². Through a beautiful entrance you enter the house. On the ground floor there is a small guest bathroom with shower room, in which the washing machine is housed. The living area consists of a spacious living room with dining area, and then goes over to the open, fully equipped kitchen. The terrace (about 27 m²) is accessible both from the living room, as well as from the kitchen. On the covered part of the porch (in front of the kitchen), there is another dining area. In front of the living room is the larger area of ​​the terrace - to relax. A beautiful wooden staircase leads you from the hallway, up to the upper floor. Here is the bathroom, as well as the two bedrooms, each with its own large balcony (about 9 m²). From the balconies, you have a beautiful view of the deep blue sea, the nearby village and the bizarre landscape that is typical of our island. WORTH KNOWING The holiday home is fully equipped. Here you will find everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We also have a tip for you on how to reduce the cost of your holiday: The airlines offer you cheap flights if you only travel with hand luggage. In our houses everything is available, what you need for a pleasant stay here - also a washing machine. Therefore, it may be sufficient to travel with hand luggage only.
