I got to see a lot of Canada as a kid - my Dad was a 30 year CN employee, and we travelled Canada with his travel pass. We also spent idyllic summers camping for four weeks at a time on Lake Manitoba.
When I grew up I married an army guy, and we've spent the last 20+ years travelling/moving about the country. We've been lucky enough to live in six out of ten provinces. When we lived in the Halifax area I took the ferry to work every day because I thought it was a super-cool thing for a Prairie girl to be able to do.
We've lived in Edmonton for almost eight years now, and it's nice to have roots. I'm honoured to be considered a Destination Expert for Edmonton especially since I'm not from here, and there's still so much I would like to see and do and learn in the city.
I can hardly wait to retire in another 20 years (still so far away!) and devote myself to seeing more of the world. TripAdvisor has been such a great find and resource for us. Just wish I could be travelling every day!
