I moved to Napa from Massachusetts about three years ago. When I first arrived, I knew nothing about wine. Now I'm on the verge of becoming an official wine snob - the wine country is a beautiful place, inspiring, and offers some excellent varieties of wine that you can't find anywhere else. I especially like venturing off the beaten path to discover small boutique wineries; they seem to have the best offerings, and when you sit with a winemaker at their family dinner table, you experience something much better than the normal tasting room has to offer.
I also spend a lot of time traveling around the SF Bay area, from the Marin headlands to Medocino and the Sierras.
